On Thursday, I left Minneapolis early and went to NY to visit with Aliza for the few days before I left for Israel. While there, we went to see a few plays- "Graveyard Shift" (a musical about zombies) and "The Bacchae" by Euripides in Central Park.We went to visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art and made it to the Charlie "the bird" Parker Jazz Festival in Marcus Garvey Park. While this was technically the beginning of my long stay away from home, it felt like just a nice vacation... but I can't wait to get to Israel :)
P.S. forgot to mention seeing the awesome star show at the Planetarium starring Whoopi Goldberg... and later hanging out with Nir and Tami on Sunday. Got to see Times Square- my favorite part of NY ;)
